IL QUARTIERE DELLA SPERANZA

Un libro in movimento fino in Israele. Dalla periferia di Milano a Tel Avivi nel quartiere di Shehunat Hatikva (Il quartiere della speranza), dove abitano gli ebrei yemeniti e anche i rifugiati sudanesi.Il progetto, il primo fuori dall’Italia, è stato realizzato per il Jaffa Institute, un centro molto attivo, che sostiene tante iniziative nei quartieri più poveri e disagiati della città. Protagonisti i bambini e i ragazzi del The After School Enrichment Center for disadvantage Youth. Diverso il clima e la lingua non l’obiettivo che Alice Werblowsky che spera in tutti i suoi progetti di accrescere la consapevolezza dei bambini sulle loro potenzialità creative, e sulla loro capacità di migliorare il proprio ambiente.
Murale all’entrata del centro
Il tema in modo simbolico, riporta ai temi dell’amicizia e della diversità. Nel disegno di Alice i bambini di diverse provenienze giocano in pace e in armonia con degli animali colorati. I ragazzi e volontari hanno aiutato nella realizzazione.
Murali del campo di calcio
Nasce da un workshop durante il quale i bambini più piccoli (8-9 anni)sono stati invitati a ritagliare forme differenti nelle quali inserire i loro personaggi. L’opera finale è quindi risultata la somma dei vari apporti creativi che ha dato origine a un piccolo murales frutto di una partecipazione collettiva. I ragazzi più grandi hanno imparato e sperimentato la tecnica dello stencil. Era la prima volta che imparavano come si fa un murales.

THE NIGHTBORHOOD OF HOPE

A Book In Movement arrives in Israel. From the outskirts of Milan to Tel Aviv in the neighborhood of Shehunat Hatikva (The neighborhood of Hope), populated by yemenis jews and also sudan refugees. The project, the first outside Italy,has been done for the Jaffa Institute, a center very active, which does many initiatives in the poor and disadvantage neighborhood of the city. Protagonist the children of the After School Enrichment Center for Disadvantage Youth. Different the weather conditions and the language but not the objective that Alice Werblowsky brings up in all her projects: Increase in children the awareness of their creative potential and capacity to improve their own environment.
Entrance Mural
For the entrace wall, Alice has conceived a mural on the theme of friendship and diversity. The children from different origins play toghether in peace and harmony together with colored animals. Children of the center and volunteers helped her in the realization of this mural.
Murals of the football field
The drawing of this mural was the result of a workshop done with the small kids of the center (8/9 years old). They cut shapes and draw inside the characters they created. The final drawing was done thanks to the creativity of different children and it gave birth to a small collective mural. The older children learned and experimented with technique of stencil to create another mural. They were very involved because it was the first time they were allowed to create a big drawing in the wall.
